A funeral service for Mr. Robert L. Birmingham, 58, of Carthage, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 11, 2015, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Dale Reed officiating. Interment will follow in Long Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. Birmingham passed away on Thursday morning, Oct. 8, 2015, in Tyler.

Robert L. Birmingham was born on March 2, 1957, in Shreveport, L.A. His parents were Edd and Fern Thornton Birmingham. He worked in sales for Moore Supply for many years. Mr. Birmingham loved his 3 grand babies very much. He also loved fishing, ATV riding, and hunting. He was also preceded in death by his father Edd Birmingham and brother, Stephen Birmingham.

Mr. Birmingham is survived by his mother, Fern Thornton Birmingham; fiancé, Carolyn Brooks; step-son, Jeff Brooks; step-daughter, Kendra Stockman and husband James; cousins, Sylvia Armstrong and Eddie Sparks; 3 grandchildren, Faithlyn, Westen, and Casten Stockman; and numerous other family and friends also survive Mr. Birmingham.

Pallbearers are Cal Sparks, Hunter Walden, Danny Cranford, Tom Jones, Jeff Brooks, and James Stockman. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Mario.
