Robbie Sutlive, 94, of DeBerry, TX, passed away on Monday morning, July 24, 2023, in Henderson. She was born on June 29, 1929, in Rusk County, TX to the late Robert Elias and Carrie Jewel Jernigan Fort. Robbie graduated with the Carthage High School class of 1946. She married William Charles Sutlive on December 1, 1951, and he preceded her in death on May 20, 1986.  Mrs. Sutlive was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Walnut Springs Baptist where she served as church secretary and taught Sunday School. She worked as a secretary and inspector for the Department of the Army at Thiokol for many years. Robbie was also preceded in death by her sons, William Charles Sutlive, Jr. and Jerry Glynn Sutlive; brothers, Asa and Dick Fonville and Jessie Fort; sister, Ferrel Moreland; and daughter-in-law, Maby Sutlive.

She is survived by her son, Gary Sutlive and wife Dawn of Nacogdoches; grandchildren, Cary Lynita Peterson and husband Jalon, Derek Heath Sutlive and wife Kristin, Brianna Yvette Short and husband Mitchell, and William "Kito" Charles Sutlive, III; and great-grandchildren, Britt, Reese, and Dawson Peterson, Jackson, Charlie, and Henry Sutlive, and Alanna, Casey, Alyssa, Damon, Emmalyn, and Alysia Short.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home with Bro. Buddy Briggs officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Springs Cemetery in DeBerry. A time of visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Pallbearers are Bubba Coleman, Joe Cox, Alan Ford, D.J. Moreland, Jalon Peterson, Dan Scott, and Heath Sutlive. Honorary pallbearers are the Deacons of Walnut Springs Baptist Church.
