Funeral services for Mrs. Risa Roberts Adair, age 46 of Carthage, Texas, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2009, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Freddy Mason officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Adair passed away on Thursday morning, May 28, 2009, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Rusk County, Texas.

Risa Ellen Roberts Adair was born on June 23, 1962 in Japan to Quinnan Cole and Mary Ellen Nixon Roberts. She graduated from Harlingen High School in Harlingen, Texas with the class of 1980 and attended Pan American College in Edinburg, Texas. Mrs. Adair worked as a clerk at various retail stores. She was preceded in death by her mother and her son, Spc. James Lee Adair who passed away on June 29, 2007.

Mrs. Adair is survived by her father and step-mother, Cole and June Roberts of Carthage; one daughter, Amanda Townsend and husband Jason of the Fair Play Community; one daughter-in-law, Chelsea Adair of DeBerry; three brothers, Randy Roberts and wife Rebecca, Russell Roberts and wife Cindy, and Rick Roberts and wife Toni all of Carthage; and four grandchildren, Ashlynn Adair, Christian Townsend, Madison Adair, and Avery Lee Adair.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are Jason Townsend, Ronnie Townsend, Randy Roberts, Russ Roberts, Rick Roberts, Lee Roberts, and Gary Robinson.
