Richard Elliott Halcumb, 71, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Saturday night, Dec. 19, 2020, in Longview, TX. He was born on Jan. 9, 1949, in Pasadena, TX to William Henry, Sr. and Patricia Ann Elliott Halcumb. Richard attended Deer Park Schools and graduated from Carthage High School with the class of 1967, and attended Kilgore College. Richard worked as a Piping Designer for S&B Engineers. He married Debra Denise Ivey on May 3, 1990, in Carthage. Richard enjoyed playing golf and most especially spending time with his 15 grandchildren. He was a member of Parkway Baptist Church in Carthage. Mr. Halcumb was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William Henry "Billy" Halcumb, Jr.; and sister, Lori Susan Halcumb.

Mr. Halcumb is survived by his wife, Debra Halcumb; children, Bryce Halcumb and wife Mindy, David Tondreau, Brandon Tondreau and wife Lisa, Amanda LeMaire and husband Gerald, and Britt Bragg and husband Roger all of Carthage; siblings, Carl Halcumb and wife Kris of Longview and Carol Halcumb of DeBerry; grandchildren, BreAnn Clinton and husband Cutter, Tori Scogins, Branton Halcumb, Jacob Tondreau and fiancé Ronni Ward, Hannah Williams, Hope Kruebbe, Jordan Holland and husband Tryston, Hayden Bryant, Faith Kruebbe, Jessica Williams, Trevor LeMaire, Andrew Williams, Catch Bragg, Stone Tondreau, and Cherish Bragg; and great-grandson, Maverick Jackson.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Parker and Bro. Barney Bryant officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.

Pallbearers are Branton Halcumb, Jake Tondreau, Cutter Clinton, Tryston Holland, Chad Halcumb, and Hayden Bryant. Honorary pallbearers are Trevor LeMaire, Andrew Williams, Catch Bragg, Stone Tondreau, and Maverick Jackson.
