Funeral services for Mr. Richard Daniel "Dick" Willis, age 68, of Carthage, TX, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wade Harman officiating. Interment will follow in Walton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Willis passed away on Sunday morning, Jan. 31, 2010, in Longview.

Richard Daniel "Dick" Willis was born on June 23, 1941, in St. Almo, IL to Daniel B. and Geraldine Clark Willis. He graduated from McComb High School in McComb, OK with the class of 1960. He married Evelyn Faye Cranmore on May 28, 1971, in Ardmore, OK. Mr. Willis worked in the oil field business all of his life. He moved to Carthage in 1977, from overseas and was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church. Mr. Willis was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Willis is survived by his wife Faye Willis of Carthage; three sons, Darin Lynn Willis and wife Wynn of Plano, TX, Dennis Allen Lafitte and wife Karen of Tulsa, OK and John Michael Lafitte and wife Gerry of Buffalo, TX; two daughters, Tamara Ann Johnson of Carthage and Evelyn Jean Harvey and husband Steve of Carthage; one sister, Linda Lou Cumpton of Oklahoma City, OK; and nine grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers are Frank Sepaugh, Jerry Anderson, Bill Kneipp, Derek McAlister, Ricky Pride, and Eddie Pride.
