Funeral services for Mrs. Rhoda Franks, age 100 of Deville, Louisiana, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at the First United Centerpoint Pentecostal Church in Centerpoint, Louisiana under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville. Interment will follow in Richey Cemetery in Deville. Her body will lie in state at the church from 4:00 p.m. on Friday until service time on Saturday. Mrs. Franks passed away on Wednesday afternoon May 27, 2009, at East Texas Medical Center in Carthage, Texas. Local arrangements are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.

Mrs. Franks is survived by three sons, Arnold Franks and wife Dean of Carthage, Willis Franks and wife Nelva of Deville, and Walter Franks and wife Sue of Marksville; one brother, Luther Nation of Centerpoint; one sister, Annie Crooks of Deville; twenty grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; twenty-nine step-great-grandchildren; numerous great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
