Randy Gene Wallace, 64, of Tatum, TX, passed away on Friday morning, July 22, 2022, at his home. He was born on Sept. 13, 1957, in Henderson, TX to the late Albert Olin and Linda Lorene Hale Wallace. He attended Henderson schools, where he excelled in baseball and football. Randy married the love of his life, Angela Marie "Angie" Booth on Sept. 20, 1985, in Tatum. He worked as an instrument fitter and supervisor at J.W. Operating in Longview for the past 39 years. Randy was a member of Faith Assembly of God Church in Carthage. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Wallace; sister-in-law, Glenda Wallace; and brother-in-law, Johnny Staples.

He is survived by his wife, Angie Wallace of Tatum; children, Brandy Wallace of Tatum, Chris Wallace and wife Kacey of Tatum, and Ben Wallace of Texarkana, AR; siblings, Donna Staples of Henderson, Debra Roman and husband Larry of Henderson, and Stan Wallace and wife Wendy of Franklin, IN; grandchildren, Dakota Clark, ReAnna Clark, Devon Wallace, Gavin Stanley, Lilly Wallace, Jaxson LaGrone, and Aidyn Brill; and great-granddaughter, Ani'yah White. A host of very special nieces, nephews, and friends.

Randy was a man that loved a simple life of working hard, loving his family, and helping others. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing softball with his buddies, and of course tending his garden. Working in his garden brought him so much joy, giving most of the harvest away brought him even more joy. In recent years he developed a love for the game of golf. He loved to spend a Saturday or Sunday afternoon with a few of his close buddies playing the game and building friendships. He was honest and kind, always willing to help others, a loving husband, father, "Papaw" and friend. He will be missed by so many.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Faith Assembly of God Church in Carthage with Pastor David Baze officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Harmony Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Keith Warf, Randy Reid, Efren Palacio, John Harvey, Ronnie Wall, and Nick Sturm.

Honorary pallbearers are Rodney Dotson, Leven McGaughey, and David Broach.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in his name.
