Randy Pool, 65, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, April 2, 2019, in Carthage. Randy Lynn Pool was born on Feb. 7, 1954, in Friona, TX to Norman Delton and Jo Ann Shoffner Pool. He graduated from Fontana, CA High School with the class of 1973. Randy married Louise Morris and she preceded him in death after 15 years of marriage. Mr. Pool worked as a cook for many years until his retirement. He loved to play 42 and cook and was a #1 Saints fan. Mr. Pool moved to Carthage in 1998, from West Virginia. He was of the Baptist faith. He was also preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother, Jo Ann Shoffner Pool of Carthage; uncle and aunt, Billy and Betty Shoffner of Carthage; and cousins, Mike Shoffner, Becky Eubank, Brent Shoffner, Barb Shoffner, Debbie Shoffner Bell, Diana Shoffner West, Sylvia Shoffner Burdick, and David Shoffner.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2019, at Antioch Cemetery with Pastor Aaron Bequette officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
