Randy Atwood, 66, of the Midyett Community in Panola County, TX, passed away on Saturday morning, May 23, 2020, at his home in Midyett. Randall Allen Atwood was born on Nov. 12, 1953, in Shreveport, LA to the late Marion Allen and Helen Marie Litton Atwood. He moved to Panola County in 1962, from Shreveport and he graduated from Carthage High School with the class of 1971. Randy was married to Marie Ann Zucconi on Aug. 10, 1985, at the Deadwood Methodist Church by Rev. Mervin Scott. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. Randy worked as a self-employed trucker and in farming and ranching his entire lifetime. He was a member of Deadwood United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Atwood of Midyett; daughter, Melissa Singleton of Granbury; son, Eddie Marshall and wife Catherine of Stonewall; brothers, Michael Atwood and wife Debbie of Midyett and Hal Moses of McKinney; and grandchildren, Chanse and Chase Singleton and Taylor, Emma Claire, and Tucker Marshall. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends also survive Mr. Atwood.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 29, 2020, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Anderson and Pastor Mary Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home prior to the memorial service.

Honorary pallbearers are Richard Anderson, Nick Spanial, Will Spanial, Blaine Koonce, Jim Tidwell, Tom Westbrook and many other wonderful friends.
