Ralph E. Dirst, 75, of Panola County, TX, passed away on Tuesday evening, Jan. 22, 2019, in Nacogdoches, TX. Ralph Edward Dirst was born on July 28, 1943, in Baytown, TX to the late Ralph Emerson and Gladys Mae Huggins Dirst. He graduated from Baytown High School. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force, retiring after 20 years of service. While in the Air Force, he earned a Purple Heart and also an Associate's Degree. Mr. Dirst was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association.

He is survived by his daughters, Kim Bush and husband Steven and Anita Odom and fiancé Otis Hughes; brother, Keith Earl Dirst and wife Patricia; sister, Janet Breedlove; and grandchildren, Matthew Bush "My Boy", Katelin VanHaaften "My Sweetheart", and David Alan Pitts. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends also survive.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Gibbo officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
