Obituary
A graveside service for Rachele Michele Howard, 33 of Shreveport, formerly of Carthage, will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 29, 2015, at Forest Park Cemetery in Shreveport with Dr. Dale Reed officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Interment will follow the graveside service next to her grandparents in their family plot at Forest Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
Rachele Michele Howard was born on June 10, 1982, in Shreveport to Robert Blake and Mary A. McDonald Howard. She attended Gary and Carthage Schools and later went to Ayers College in Shreveport to become a medical transcriptionist. She more recently took classes through Northwestern. She was currently working as a private caregiver. Rachele loved horses, drawing, and was an avid reader. During her lifetime, she was a recipient of an organ donation and thus had always wanted to be an organ donor at her death, a request that her family has been proud to honor. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert Henry and Martha Seegers Howard, G.W. McDonald, and Mike Maylos.
Rachele is survived by her parents, Mary McDonald of Arkansas and Robert B. and Terrie Howard of Carthage; grandmother, Patsy Maylos of Louisiana; brothers, Michael Howard and wife Mary of Carthage, Jeremy Green and wife Heather of Carthage, and Benjamin Green of Ft. Polk, LA; uncles and aunts, Henry Howard and wife Kassey of Carthage, Deborah Patrick Rainey and husband Rick of Carthage, Sissy Balda and husband Dave of Louisiana, Robin Nussman and husband Sonny of Louisiana, and Wayman McDonald and wife Renee of Arkansas; and a very special friend, Susan Lynn of Carthage. Numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews also survive Rachele.
Pallbearers are Dennis Dison, Kevin Dison, Chris Troquille, Tim McDonald, Kevin Balda, and Chance McDonald.
Honorary pallbearers are Henry Howard, Wayman McDonald, and Chris McDonald.
