Graveside services for Mr. Phillip Weaver, age 69 of Beckville, Texas, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2009 at Martin Cemetery with Rev. James Edwards officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Weaver passed away on Wednesday morning, April 8, 2009, at his home near Beckville.

Phillip Weaver was born on April 25, 1939 in Beckville, Texas to Clifford and Inez Porter Weaver. He graduated from Beckville High School with the class of 1956 and attended Panola College where he earned an Associate's Degree in Business. "Pop" as he was known by many, lived most of his life near Beckville and was a member of the Union Arbor Freewill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Hershel Weaver.

Mr. Weaver is survived by his wife of 46 years, Alice Smith Weaver of Beckville; one son, Kirk Weaver and wife Renae of Beckville; two grandsons, Clint Weaver and wife Casie of Waco and Ryan Weaver and wife Kelsey of Beckville; one great-grandchild, Kellen Weaver of Beckville; one brother, Larry Weaver of Beckville; two sisters, June Nutt and husband Dr. Andrew Nutt and Jane Cammack and husband Charles all of Beckville; sister-in-law, Adell Weaver of Newton; and mother-in-law, Phala Smith of Beckville. Numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends also survive Mr. Weaver.
