A graveside service for Mr. Phil Baker Scott, age 80, of Beckville, TX, will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, January 25, 2015, at Youngblood Cemetery with Pastor Terry Hodge officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Mr. Scott passed away on Wednesday afternoon, January 21, 2015, at his home in Beckville.

Phil Baker Scott was born on March 17, 1934, in Huffman, TX, to the late Hance and Grace McGowan Scott. He worked for the Houston Fire Department for 26 years until his retirement. Mr. Scott loved to hunt, fish, travel, and spend time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Charlene Mercer Scott to whom he was married for 59 years.

Mr. Scott is survived by two sons, Rick Scott and wife Maria of Llano, and Ken Scott of Hockley; five grandchildren, Barbara Pady and husband Billy, Eric Scott, Elizabeth Gomez and husband Ivan, Adam Scott and wife Allison, Alma Lloyd and husband Nathan; four great-grandchildren, Taylor, Garrett, Luke, and Charlie.
