Petra Olvera-Rojas, 58, of Carthage, Texas, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2023, in Longview, Texas. She was born on Jan. 23, 1965, in Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico to Dolorez Olvera and Angelina Rojas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Abel Garcia, and father, Dolorez Olvera.

She is survived by her mother, Angelina Rojas; children, Norma Garcia and husband Oswaldo Moran, Marisol Garcia and husband Irfan Cetin, Adriana Garcia and husband Antonio Garcia, and Laura Garcia and husband Carlos Campos; and twin sister, Felipa Olvera.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2023, at St. William of Vercelli Catholic Church with Father Steve Paradis officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Carthage City Cemetery. A visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the church prior to the Funeral Mass.

Pallbearers are Alex Olvera, Eduardo Olvera, Miguel Olvera, Chon Olvera, Oswaldo Moran, Irfan Cetin, Antonio Garcia, and Carlos Campos.
