Penny Michelle McAlexander, 55, of Longview, Texas, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022 in Longview. Penny was born June 8, 1966 in Panola County, Texas to the late Mr. and Mrs. John McDaniel. She was raised in Panola County and was a graduate of Carthage High School with the class of 1985. Penny married David Allen McAlexander on May 25, 1991 in Ore City, Texas and celebrated 30 years together. She was a homemaker and loved traveling and listening to country music. Penny is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Randy McDaniel.

Mrs. McAlexander is survived by her husband, David McAlexander of Longview; daughter, Britney McAlexander of Ore City; sisters, Janette Pieper of Gary, Tina Mills and husband Steve of Carthage, Shelia Heard and husband Bill of Beckville, Darlene Ridgeway and husband Donald of Gary; sisters-in-law, Angela McDaniel of Carthage and Cindy Wray of Longview. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive Mrs. McAlexander.

A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, February 25, 2022 at Antioch Cemetery with Bro. Tony Harp officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. A time of visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Gary Hill, Heath Hill, Chase McDaniel, Michael Prewitt, Don Smith, and Chad Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Austin Carr, Clayton Heard, Adam Heard, Aaron Mills and Josh Mills.
