Peggy Neal Griffin, 75, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Friday morning, June 25, 2021, at her home near Carthage. She was born on Nov. 23, 1945, in Marlin, TX to the late Thomas Edgar and Julia McEntire Ethridge. Peggy graduated from Plains High School in Plains, TX with the class of 1964, and attended Beauty College where she earned her cosmetology certification. She married Dock Griffin on April 17, 2004, in Fredericksburg, TX. Peggy moved to Carthage in 1970, from Mt. Pleasant and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents; 11 siblings and a grandchild, Colby Allen.

She is survived by her husband, Dock Griffin of Carthage; daughter, Tesa Crawford and husband Curt of Carthage; son, David Allen and wife Stacy of Carthage; step-children, Rhonda Griffin and husband Greg Weeks of Austin, Mark Griffin and wife Heather of Carthage, and Dana Clark and husband Keith of Carthage; sister, Jo Hood and husband Scott of Longview; grandchildren, Carley Fugler and husband Chris, Kirstyn Jacks and husband Jason, and Kaylee Grace Allen; great-grandchildren, Kutter Jacks and Lucy Elizabeth Fugler; step-grandchildren, Jackson Johnson, Rachael Wood, Joshua Wood, Maddy Griffin, Nathan Griffin, Sarah Griffin, Kacie White, and Lacie LaGrone;  and step-great-grandchildren, Landon and Laramie LaGrone and Kaden and  Hudson White. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends also survive.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 28, 2021, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Freddy Mason officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Texas Home Health Hospice and LaShun White for the loving care provided for Mrs. Griffin.
