Graveside services for Pearl Lee Dering, age 53, of Carthage, TX, will be held at 2 p.m. on Tue., Oct. 11, 2011, at Mt. Bethel Cemetery near Gary, TX, with Dr. Dale Reed officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the cemetery prior to the service. Interment will follow in Mt. Bethel Cemetery. Pearl Lee Dering passed away on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 8, 2011, in Longview.

Pearl Lee Dering was born November 23, 1957, in Snyder, TX. Throughout her childhood she attended Waco schools. Pearl Lee loved reading, crocheting, traveling and playing games on her computers. By profession, she was a wonderful caregiver. Ms. Dering was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Shawn Dering; four brothers, Frankie Pendleton, Joe Cecil Pendleton, George Pendleton, and Everett Joe Pendleton; two sisters, Margaret Smith, and Faye Marie Pendleton.

Pearl Lee Dering is survived by one daughter, Dawn Simmons of San Angelo, TX; three brothers, Billy Pendleton (Annette) of Rising Star, TX, Jack Pendleton of Hamby, TX, and Quartez Pendleton of Abiline; two sisters, Ellen Arnold and husband Rudolph of Carthage, and Roberta Dering of Abilene; and five grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive Pearl Dering.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are Lonnie Reed, Ben Reed, Robert Lovell, Craig Lovell, Christopher Reed, and Trishton Edgar.
