Pauline Godwin, 70, of Gary, passed away on Wednesday night, August 16, 2017, in Tyler. Eva Pauline Barrett Godwin was born on Feb. 28, 1947, in Timpson to the late Clifford Wayne and Ida Bea Ritter Barrett. She graduated from Carthage High School with the class of 1965, and attended Panola College where she earned her LVN. She married Donnie Alan Godwin on Dec. 17, 1965, in Gary and he preceded her in death on Jan. 25, 2001. Pauline worked at Panola General Hospital for many years. She loved playing bingo. Pauline was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, C.W. Barrett, Jr.

Survivors include her children, Jeffrey Wade Godwin and wife Lisa of Gary, Kevin Lee Godwin and wife Heather of Newport News, VA, Veronica Lynn Wilkerson and husband Darren of Tatum, and Bridget Kincaid and husband Turk of Wasilla, AK; sister, Jane Pope and husband J.R. of the Shiloh Community; brother, Calvin Barrett of Gary; and grandchildren, Joe, Tanya, Sydney, Zachary, Justin, Avery, Terry, Kim, and Heather.

A graveside service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017, at Gary Cemetery with Bro. Dale Walker officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home prior to the graveside service.

Pallbearers are David McClelland, Kody McClelland, Willie McClelland, Mike McClelland, Shawn Nickell, Clint Pope, and Dewain Cobb.
