Paula J. Sholar, 60, of Joaquin, TX, passed away on Thursday morning, Aug. 12, 2021, in Longview, TX. Paula Jeannine Jones Sholar was born on Aug. 15, 1960, in Mt. Vernon, OH to the late Oscar A. and Wilda Jones. She enjoyed cooking, movies, concerts, the beach, and spending time with her family, especially her grandson. Paula was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her sons, John "Bubba" Sholar and Joey Sholar and wife Candi; special daughter, Lydia Adams; first and last love, John Sholar, Sr.; favorite grandchild, Matthew Sholar; grandchildren, Tommy and Cole Heard, Terry Stelly, Haleigh Hughes, and Alexis Adams; great-grandchildren, Greycen Emerson and Teagan Hughes; siblings, Joe Jones and wife Valerie, Scottie Sholar and husband Richard Sholar, Sr., Monica Simpson and husband Thomas, Wayne Hart and wife Wanda, Tonda Shaw, Rebecca Reynolds, and Melissa Andrews. Paula is also survived by the entire Sholar family from Center and Shelbyville; and her best friend, Cindy Sholar.

A memorial visitation celebrating Paula's life will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 15, 2021, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
