Paul Wayne Whitaker, age 73, of Shreveport, Louisiana, formerly of Carthage, Texas, passed away Tuesday morning, July 15, 2025, in Bossier City, Louisiana. He was born in Carthage on October 17, 1951, to the late Cleo Wilson and Flora Merle Wiggins Whitaker. Paul graduated from Fair Park High School in Shreveport. He worked in parts sales and delivery. Paul enjoyed playing pool, fishing, and traveling, and he especially loved animals. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Floyd Whitaker.

Paul is survived by his companion and caregiver, Donna "Dee Dee" Soloman; and brother, Glen Whitaker.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Rehobeth Cemetery with Chaplain Larry Lafitte officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
