Patsy George, 92, of Beckville, TX, passed away on Sunday morning, June 7, 2020, in Longview, TX. Finis Mae "Patsy" Harris George was born on June 26, 1927, in Beckville to the late Steve and Lizzie Mae Davis Harris. She worked for many years at Solomon's Dress Shop and Lewis Engineering in Marshall, TX. Mrs. George also pastored many area churches in the Kilgore, Marshall, and Tatum area. She lived her lifetime in Beckville and was of the Assembly of God faith. Mrs. George was a member of Pine Grove Assembly and Logan Assembly. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Bro. Jack Harris, Louise May, and Margie Rogers; and children, Margie Magness, E.E. George, Jr., and Elizabeth Owens.

Mrs. George is survived by her children, Johnny Wix and wife Suzanne of Jefferson and Louise Freeman and husband Joe of Beckville; 16 grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends also survive Mrs. George.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at Conner Cemetery with Bro. Jackie Harris and Bro. Joe Freeman officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Mrs. George's grandsons and great-grandsons.
