Patricia Rodriguez, 61, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Friday night, Dec. 21, 2018, in Longview. Patricia Ann Newton Rodriguez was born on Sept. 9, 1957, in Bridgeport, TX to the late Ernest Cecil and Lou Ella Silas Newton. She graduated from Longview High School with the class of 1975, and attended Kilgore College and Stephen F. Austin State University. Patricia married Carlos Rodriguez and together they owned and operated Carlos Tree Service in Carthage. She moved to Carthage in 2001, from Longview. Patricia was also preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Newton.

She is survived by her husband, Carlos Rodriguez of Carthage; daughter, Jessica Wineberg of Atlanta, GA; brothers, Billy Newton and wife Darlene of Hallsville, Jim Newton and wife Donna of Lindale, and Cecil Newton and Marsha of Ft. Worth; sister, Jerry Sides and husband Mark of Chandler; and one grandchild.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 24, 2018, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Dale Reed officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date at Memory Park Cemetery in Longview. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral Home.
