Patricia Ann Loper, 75, of Beckville, TX, passed away on Wednesday night, March 30, 2022, in Henderson. She was born on Sept. 27, 1946, in Beckville to the late James William Lloyd Shires and Mattie Bell Godwin Shires. Growing up, she attended Beckville, De Berry, and Elysian Fields Schools. Patricia married Thade Alan Loper, Jr. on Feb. 14, 1981, in Carthage and he preceded her in death on March 20, 2006. Mrs. Loper worked as a beautician, nurse's aide, and as a waitress until her retirement. She lived most of her lifetime in Henderson and was of the Baptist faith. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Ogden and a sister, Emma Holt.

She is survived by her children, Cyndy Taliaferro, Melanie Whitlow, Stephanie Gipson and husband Broderick, and Sheila Floyd and husband William; brothers, Melvin Shires and wife Mara and James Shires and wife Emma; sister, Winnie Hopkins and husband Ron; 12 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren with two on the way.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Harris Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.

Pallbearers are Alex Braley, Taylor Braley, Aaron Tucker, Benjamin Shires, Nathan Marry, and Wyatt Whitlow.

Honorary pallbearers are Jamie Tucker and Lonny Hassell.
