Pansy Jo Green, 99 of Pasadena, Texas, passed away on Saturday night, December 30, 2023, in Tyler, Texas. Pansy Jo Lehman was born on September 27, 1924, in the New Salem Community in Rusk County, Texas to the late Joe C. and Bertie Lee Hamilton Lehman. Pansy graduated from high school in Henderson, Texas with the class of 1943. Pansy worked at Nan Travis Hospital in Jacksonville briefly. She married Earl Ray Green in 1972, and he preceded her in death on September 9, 1990. Pansy worked as a bookkeeper for over 47 years at various businesses in the Houston area including the Houston Press Newspaper (20 years), Stationers Inc. (7 years), Cummings Adv. (3 years), and Gulf and Western (16 years). She enjoyed making quilts, embroidery, and fishing. Her favorite thing to do was spending time with her family and serving in her church, Fellowship Missionary Baptist in Pasadena. She was also preceded in death by siblings, Oweda Ramey, Jerry Lehman, Bill Lehman, and Merle Seymore.

She is survived by her daughter, Jo Nell Ness and husband Monti; sisters, Nellie Ruth Poole and Mary Dulany; and grandchildren, Lauri Jo Hayden, Bobbie Jo Farvis, and Robert Jason Mathis.

A public visitation for Pansy will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023, followed by a graveside service. Local arrangements are by Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
