Funeral services for Mrs. Ozie Mae Moody Chadwick Hunt, age 96, of Carthage, TX, will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home with Pastor Don Cocklin officiating. Interment will follow in Welch Cemetery in the Brachfield Community of Rusk County, TX. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service. Mrs. Hunt passed away on Sunday morning, Nov. 21, 2010, in Carthage.

Ozie Mae Moody Chadwick Hunt was born on June 18, 1914, in Caro, TX to Fred D. Moody and Mae Pamilia Wingate Moody. Mrs. Hunt graduated from High School in Geneva, TX. She married Robert Bryan Chadwick and he preceded her in death in 1941 and she married Deason L. Hunt, Sr. and he preceded her in death on June 12, 1982. Mrs. Hunt worked as an aid at Panola General Hospital for many years. She moved to Carthage in 1964, from Hallsville. She was also preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Nelda Gail Chadwick; one daughter, LaNell Chadwick Chadick; and one brother, Oca R. Moody.

Mrs. Hunt is survived by one son, Deason L. Hunt, Jr. and wife Martha of Holly Lake Ranch; one daughter, Penny Crayton of Carthage; six grandchildren, Michael Hunt, Chad Ledbetter, Kathleen Thompson, Emily Elliott, Melinda Smith, and Melanie Chadick; eight great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Brooklyn, and Peyton Elliott, Nicholas and Patrick Ledbetter, Tyler Smith, and Rebecca and Christine Thompson; one niece, Betty Glaze of Paxton; and three great-nieces, Tina, Gina, and Angie.
