Ouida Pearl Pierce, 73, of Carthage, passed away on Thursday morning, Jan. 5, 2017, in Carthage. She was born on July 24, 1943, in DeBerry to the late Leslie and Pauline Carter Cameron. Pearl attended school in DeBerry and Logansport. She married James A. Pierce on May 28, 1960, in Carthage, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 20, 2007. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her son, John Pierce of Carthage; brothers, Dennis Ray Cameron and Cleburne Cameron, both of Timpson; sister, Gaynell Westcoat of Timpson; and sisters-in-law, Betty Jo Collins of Longview and Frances Rushing of Carthage.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017, at Odd Fellows Cemetery with Bro. Freddy Mason officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Visitation will from 5-7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
