Ouida Matthews, 84, of Longview, Texas, passed away on Sunday afternoon, October 1, 2023, in Longview. Ouida Ruth Crooms was born on January 10, 1939, in Gary, Texas to the late Tommie and Nellie Marie Tinkle Crooms. She attended Gary schools and later attended business school in Nacogdoches. She married William Paul Matthews and he preceded her in death on January 26, 2019. Ouida moved to Longview from Tatum in 1969, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Longview.

She is survived by her daughter, Paula Matthews.

A private graveside service will be held at Tatum Cemetery.
