Funeral services for Mrs. Orpha A. Jarvis, age 86 of Universal City, Texas formerly of Carthage, Texas will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2007 at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Mark Sloan officiating. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park near Carthage. The family will receive friends from 8:00 a.m. on Thursday morning until service time. Mrs. Jarvis passed away on January 14, 2007 in Universal City, Texas.

Mrs. Orpha A. Jarvis was born October 13, 1920 in Hammon, Oklahoma to Chester and Ophie Mathews. She was married to Jesse E. Adams in 1941 until his death in 1980, that marriage bore four children Jesse Adams (deceased), Francis Adams, Donald Adams and Ronald Adams. In 1987 she married Richard Jarvis her high school sweet heart which she met at their 50th class reunion.

Mrs. Jarvis is survived by her husband, Richard Jarvis; three sons, Francis Adams, Donald Adams and Ronald Adams; three sisters, Doris Bush, Elsie Kazmierski and Colene Trent; one brother, Orville D. Mathews; eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and three step-sons, Roger Jarvis, Larry Jarvis and Thomas Jarvis; numerous nieces and nephews also survive Mrs. Jarvis.
