Funeral services for Mrs. Ora Jones Hardy, 99, of the Dotson Community in Panola County will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jim Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in County Line Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Hardy passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 in Stephenville, Texas.

Ora Jones Hardy was born on July 27, 1907 in Panola County, Texas to Melton and Nettie Egleton Jones. Mrs. Hardy married Ross Boles Hardy on April 16, 1925 in Panola County and together they celebrated 72 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on April 2, 1997. Mrs. Hardy had lived her lifetime in Panola County and was a member of County Line Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Hardy was also preceded in death by her sons, Thurman Ray Hardy, Horace Neal Hardy, and an infant son, Howard Ross Hardy.

Mrs. Hardy is survived by her daughter-in-law, Beverly Hardy of Dallas; six grandchildren, Melanie Winnett, Stephanie Kunkel, Ray Hardy, Steve Hardy, Jeff Hardy, and Ross Hardy; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
