Funeral services for Mrs. Faye Manshack McCormick, age 80, of Mena, Arkansas formerly of Carthage, Texas, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Baze officiating and Bro. Niles White of Mena, ARK assisting. Interment will follow in Restland Cemetery of Teneha. The family will receive friends from 5:00-9:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. McCormick passed away on Sunday morning, June 28, 2009, in Mena, surrounded by family and friends.

Faye Manshack McCormick was born on January 11, 1929, to Duley McKinley Manshack and Gladys Spurlock Manshack, being the second of eight children. She married Clifford Wayne McCormick on December 31, 1955 in Foydada, TX then later moved to Carthage where they established their home. Mrs. McCormick is preceded in death by her parents, Duley McKinley Manshack and Gladys Spurlock Manshack, her husband, Clifford Wayne McCormick on January 18, 2004; also her brother, Thomas McKinley Manshack, and sister Melvie Joyce Ballard.

Mrs. McCormick is survived by one son, Harold Wayne Smith and wife Kathy of Carthage; one daughter, Linda Faye Elliott and husband Ron of Mena, ARK; five sisters, Opal Hunt of Carthage, Viola Martinez of Bon Weir, TX, Dorothy Neff of Floydada, TX, Maxine Strickland of Lockney, TX and Margaret Keener of Rodessa, LA; five grandchildren, Stephanie Bagley and husband Clayton of Koosharem, UT, Amanda Foreman and husband Temple of Mena, ARK, Brad Hooper and wife Laurie of Burlington, IA, Alan Smith of Carthage, and Bubba Smith and wife Windy of White House, TX; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends also survive Mrs. McCormick.

Serving as pallbearers are Temple Foreman, Jonathan Foreman, Alan Smith, Joey Manshack, Bubba Smith and Davey Keener, Jr.. Alternate pallbearers are Cory and Cody Manshack.
