Odessie Weldon, 94, of Carthage, passed away on Friday afternoon, May 4, 2018, in Carthage. Odessie Lee Brown Weldon was born on Nov. 1, 1923, in Tonkawa, OK to the late Will and Minnie Thompson Brown. She attended Tonkawa schools and later married Quincy Kenneth Weldon. She was a longtime member of First Christian Church in Carthage. Mrs. Weldon was preceded in death by her husband, Quincy Weldon and her sister, Dee Wintermute.

Survivors include her sons, Terry Weldon of Austin and Vance Weldon and wife Robbie of Carthage; grandchildren, Jonathan Weldon and wife Laura, Julia Moloy and husband Hunter, Brad Barnes, Chase Barnes, and Candice Davis; great-grandchildren, Jack Moloy, Charlie Moloy, Eliana Moloy, Pierce Weldon, and Oliver Weldon.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, 2018, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Don Cocklin officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Memorial Park near Carthage. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Jonathan Weldon, Hunter Moloy, Chase Barnes, Troy Woodard, Mike Wester, Mike Perry, and Terry Hooper.
