Funeral services for Mrs. Nora Lee Wilkinson Shaw, age 87, of Beckville, TX, will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Blanchard Nazarene Church in Blanchard, LA with Bro Rick Linebargar officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Blanchard Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, June 18, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Shaw passed away on Saturday morning, June 16, 2012, at her home in Beckville.
Nora Lee Wilkinson Shaw was born Nov. 6, 1924 in Waveland, AR to Lela Adkinson Wilkinson and Charles Wilkinson. She has resided in Beckville since 2000. Prior to moving to Beckville she attended the Blanchard Nazarene Church in Blanchard, LA. Mrs. Shaw spent her life being a wonderful housewife and was known by all who knew and loved her by "Granny". Granny loved the Lord, first and foremost. Mrs. Shaw also dearly cherished her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved cooking and it was clear to her family that she was a very tender, kind-hearted woman. Mrs. Shaw was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.W.; one daughter, Martha Louise Shaw Digilormo Murray; one son, Gary Weylan Shaw; a grandson, Joshua Wade Shaw; 8 brothers and sisters; and her beloved pets, Jake and Brandi.
Mrs. Shaw is survived by one son, Jerrell Shaw of Beckville; one daughter, Joyce Shaw of Beckville; one brother, John Boyce Wilkinson of Blanchard, LA; one sister, June Wilkinson Liles of Blanchard, LA; 8 grandchildren, Toyia Urbaniak and husband Lawrence of Carthage, Theresa Wilcox and husband Lloyd of Beckville, Jerrell Wayne Shaw, Jr. of Dallas, Glen Franklin Liles of San Francisco, CA, Timothy Weylon Liles and wife Debbie of Beckville, Chad Everit Shaw of New Orleans, Leonard Frank Digilormo and wife Christy of Carthage, and Brandon Jerrell Shaw and wife Brenda of Dallas; 25 great-grandchildren; and her puppy, Mollie and her cat, Tom. Numerous nieces, nephews and relatives also survive Mrs. Shaw.
Serving as pallbearers are Dusty Ravellette, Lloyd Wilcox, Travis Wilcox, Jesse Gomez, Paul Brightwell, and James Easley.
