A funeral service for Mrs. Nora Button, age 89, of Beckville, TX, will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 19, 2013, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in McKnight Cemetery in Cushing, TX. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Button passed away on Tuesday afternoon, April 16, 2013, at her home in Beckville.

Nora Bea Wade Button was born on Oct. 11, 1923, in Cushing, TX to Hardy Cecil and Bammer Lee Birdwell Wade. She graduated from Sacul High School in Sacul, TX. Mrs. Button married Joseph Berry Button on June 7, 1942, in Sacul and he preceded her in death on July 25, 1993. She loved gardening and was a member of the gardening club for many years. Mrs. Button was also a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She moved to Beckville in 1959, from the Centerville Community in Trinity County, TX and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Beckville. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Billy and Red Wade; and one great-grandson, Joseph Jones.

Mrs. Button is survived by her son, Joe Button and wife Shirley of College Station; two daughters, Patsy Permenter and husband Floyd of Henderson and Lynda Risen and husband Harold of Beckville; three brothers, Doodle Wade and wife Inez of Pasadena, TX, Shorty Wade of Madisonville, and Cody Wade of Deer Park; one sister, LaMerle McGehee of Cushing; six grandchildren, Kirk Permenter and wife Kimberly, Tammy Stroman and husband Rusty, Lance Permenter and wife Sarah, David Jones, Wendy Herrick and husband Chris, and Mark Jones and wife Melissa; and eleven great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends also survive Mrs. Button.

Serving as pallbearers are Mrs. Button's grandsons, Kirk Permenter, Rusty Stroman, Lance Permenter, David Jones, Chris Herrick, and Mark Jones.
