Funeral services for Mrs. Nancy Evelyn Whitaker Clements, age 61, of Carthage, TX, will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 11, 2010, at Rehobeth United Methodist Church with Rev. Jack McMahon officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Rehobeth Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday at the church prior to the service. Mrs. Clements passed away on Saturday morning, April 10, 2010, in Tyler, TX.

Nancy Evelyn Whitaker Clements was born on Oct. 25, 1948, in Shreveport, LA, to Charles Comer Whitaker, Sr. and Emily Hudson Whitaker. Mrs. Clements worked at Brookshire Bros. Grocery for over 19 years. She lived her lifetime in Carthage and was a member of Rehobeth United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Clements is survived by one son, Chris Clements and wife Danyel of Carthage; two daughters, Sandra Clements of Carthage and Teresa Mischke and husband Brian of Carrollton; three brothers, Gene Whitaker and wife Pat of Carthage, Charles Whitaker, Jr. and wife Claudia of Lindale, and Hal Whitaker and wife Helen of Lake Murvaul; six grandchildren, Tanner Clements, Jacob Scott, Emily Mischke, Samantha Mischke, Josie Hays, and Sierra Hays. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends also survive Mrs. Clements.

Serving as pallbearers are Kerry Whitaker, Russell Whitaker, Brian Mischke, Tanner Clements, Bruce Whitaker, and Wendall Gardner.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are Kevin Whitaker, James Gardner, John Gardner, and Jacob Scott.
