Nancy Alexander, 77, of Carthage, Texas, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024, in Carthage. Nancy Lynn Tucker was born on September 10, 1946, in Silsbee, Texas to the late Earnest Albert and Florence Faye Stone Tucker. She graduated with the Carthage High School Class of 1965, and then attended Business College in Henderson, Texas. Nancy was a member of the Church of Christ in Wildwood. She married Lynn Ellender Alexander on July 12, 2003, in Carthage. Nancy was a newspaper editor and publisher and owned the Timpson and Tenaha News, and the Logansport and Joaquin Tribune until her retirement. She enjoyed playing the harmonica, was an avid gamer, and loved spending time with her family.
Nancy is survived by her husband Lynn Alexander; daughter, Lee Anne Sharpe and husband Patrick; son, Charlie Taylor; brother, Benny Tucker and wife Cindy; grandchildren, Taylor Harris and husband Will, Kelsey Pauler and husband Chris, Kolbey Sharpe, Canon Taylor, and Cailyn Tayler; great-grandchildren, Clint Harris and Cole Pauler; and special niece and nephew, Ben and Amber Tucker and their children, Kylee and Cason.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. A service will be held at a later date in Silsbee, Texas and her ashes will be interred at that time at Knupple Cemetery in Silsbee.
