Nadine Fretwell, 94, of Carthage, Texas, passed away on Tuesday morning, April 23, 2024, in Carthage. Nadine Middlebrook was born on December 31, 1929, in Cotton Valley, Louisiana to the late John William and Mallie Maxwell Middlebrook. She married Paul Aubrey Fretwell, Sr. and he preceded her in death on March 3, 2001. Mrs. Fretwell worked in the banking industry for many years as a bookkeeper and secretary. She loved gardening, working crossword puzzles and reading. Mrs. Fretwell was also preceded in death by a son, Steven Fretwell and 13 siblings.

She is survived by her children, Paul Fretwell, Jr. (Lana), Michael Fretwell (Joann), Karen Noventy, and Richard Fretwell (Rosalinda); 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Cremation arrangements are by Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
