Myra Nell Liston Dupriest, of the Grand Bluff Community, in Panola County, Texas, passed away on Saturday morning, Dec. 9, 2017, in Longview. She was born on April 10, 1928, in Panola County to the late Alton Perry and Erma Eunice Payne Liston. Mrs. Dupriest graduated from Carthage High School with the class of 1945. She married Aubrey Ray Dupriest on May 4, 1946, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 19, 2004, after 56 years of marriage. Mrs. Dupriest worked at the U.S. Post Office and later owned and operated Grand Bluff Construction with her husband until her retirement. She was very involved with The Panola County ARC. The ARC serves as an advocate working to ensure that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are included in their home communities and able to make the choices that affect their lives, a cause she felt strongly about. Mrs. Dupriest lived her lifetime in the Grand Bluff Community and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Dupriest and her siblings Perry Liston, Richard Keith Liston and Margie Liston Rhodes.

She is survived by her daughter, Becky Dupriest Joffrion of Grand Bluff; granddaughter, Caroline Scott and husband Dan of Durango, CO; great-grandchildren, Nathan Scott of Bailey, CO and Natalie Scott of Beckville; and a very special lifetime friend, Robbie Sutlive. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends also survive Mrs. Dupriest.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017, at Colonial Gardens Cemetery in Marshall with Bro. Buddy Briggs officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
