Moza Rae Pierce White, 77, of Carthage, passed away on Friday morning, April 8, 2016, in Carthage. She was born on April 15, 1938, to the late Henry and I.V. Austin Pierce. She attended Beckville schools. Mrs. White married Ardeen William "Tex" White on March 17, 1971, in Carthage and he preceded her in death on July 13, 1997. Mrs. White worked as a cook for many years until her retirement. She loved reading. Mrs. White lived in the area most of her life and was a member of the Carthage United Pentecostal Church. She was also preceded in death by numerous siblings.

Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, April 11, 2016, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in New Prospect Cemetery.
