Funeral services for Mrs. Mittie O. Blalack, age 91 of DeBerry, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2006 at Mount Zion United Methodist Church will Reverend Bill Denham and Reverend Don Scott officiating. Interment will follow in the Panola Mount Zion Cemetery under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Blalack passed away on Thursday morning, June 22, 2006 in Carthage.
Mittie O. Nichols Blalack was born on January 24, 1915 in Panola County, Texas to Tom M. and Fannie E. Shell Nichols. She married Charles Stinett Blalack on December 24, 1937 in Bossier City, Louisiana. Mrs. Blalack had lived most of her life in the DeBerry Community where she was a member of the Mount Zion United Methodist Church. Mrs. Blalack was preceded in death by her husband who died on November 21, 1972, two sisters, Fern Lawless and Lillie Reeves; three brothers, Noble, Thomas, and Raymond Nichols.
Mrs. Blalack is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
