Funeral services for Mrs.
Missouri Ann Wilson, age 96 of Tenaha, Texas, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2008, at First Baptist Church of Tenaha with Rev. Rusty Atwood and Rev. Billy McDaniel officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Restland Cemetery in Tenaha. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the church on Wednesday. Mrs. Wilson passed away on Monday night, November 17, 2008 in Carthage.
Missouri Ann Spurlock Wilson was born on July 29, 1912 in Shelby County, Texas to Thomas and Daisey Dee Preister Spurlock. She married William Albert Wilson and he preceded her in death in 1983. Mrs. Wilson lived her lifetime in Tenaha and was the oldest living member of the First Baptist Church of Tenaha. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Peggy Perry and Jemima Hildebrand; one son, Glenn Wilson; seven siblings; and daughter-in-law, Toni Wilson.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by one son, Jimmy Harland Wilson of Greenwood, LA; one daughter, Margie Ann Hopkins and husband Dean of Gary, TX; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Mrs. Wilson's great-grandsons.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are Mrs. Wilson's grandsons.
