Minnie Mae Broyles , 92, of Carthage, formerly of Tennessee, passed away on Friday, Dec. 22, 2017, in Carthage. She was born on Feb. 8, 1925, in Jonesborough, TN to the late Willard and Ola Ball McKee. She graduated high school in Jonesborough with the Lamar High School class of 1943. Mrs. Broyles worked as a seamstress for a glove factory in Johnson City, TN. She married Chester Harold Broyles and he preceded her in death on Feb. 6, 2006. She was of Methodist faith and was a member of Mt. Wesley UMC in Telford, TN and also attended Mt. Carmel in Chuckey, TN. Numerous siblings also preceded her in death.

Local survivors are her niece, Carolyn Campbell and husband Gene of Carthage.

A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017 at Liberty Freewill Baptist Cemetery, Chuckey, TN under the direction of Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home, Jonesborough, TN. Local arrangements are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
