Obituary

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Milton Joseph "Mickey" Kruebbe, age 81 of Carthage, Texas, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 4, 2007 at Saint William of Vercelli Catholic Church in Carthage with Father Anthony Suresh officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Memorial Park Cemetery near Carthage. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday with a rosary to be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Kruebbe passed away on Friday afternoon, November 2, 2007 in Carthage.

Milton Joseph "Mickey" Kruebbe was born on August 9, 1926 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Edward and Jeanne Brossette Kruebbe. Mr. Kruebbe married Odette Catherine Aucoin on October 15, 1947. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II and was honorably discharged. Mr. Kruebbe worked as Fireman Captain with the New Orleans Fire Department for 20 years until his retirement in 1968. He loved fishing and music. He had lived in Carthage since 1968 moving from New Orleans. Mr. Kruebbe was of the Catholic faith and was a member of the Saint William of Vercelli Catholic Church in Carthage. He was preceded in death by seven sisters and one grandson, Craig Stuart Tompkins.

Mr. Kruebbe is survived by his wife of 60 years, Odette Kruebbe of Carthage; three sons, Michael Kruebbe and wife Barbara of Carthage, Jimmy Kruebbe and wife Myrita of Carthage, and Philip Kruebbe and wife Lori of Carthage; one daughter, Deanna Tompkins and husband Tommy of Streetman, Texas; two brothers, Edward Kruebbe of New Orleans and Robert Kruebbe of New Orleans; thirteen grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers are Matt Kruebbe, Cliff Tompkins, Brandon Kruebbe, Ryan Kruebbe, Kelly Tompkins, Heath Kruebbe, Brian Kruebbe, Josh Kruebbe, Zach Kruebbe, and Taylor Harris. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Ted Miller, Frank Miller, Micky Miller, Jerry Moe, and Jerry Goodman.
