Mildred Graves Bush passed away at the age of 95, on Apr. 23, 2011. She was surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Carthage was her home for many years, although she lived with her daughter Charlotte and son-in-law Chuck Rich in Kingwood, TX for her last 20 years.

Mildred was born Feb. 17, 1916, to Sam and Nettie Hayes Graves in Gary, TX. She attended Carthage and Gary schools, graduating from Carthage High School. While a student at Stephen F. Austin University, she married the love of her life Sable Bush, who was her childhood sweet heart. She is preceded in death by her husband Sable Bush.

Mildred is survived by her children: Donal Garth Bush (Linda), Charlotte Rich (Chuck) and Nathan Emanuel Bush (Ida). Grandchildren: Tracy Brown, Kelly Bush, Chad Bush, Christopher Rich and Kurt Bush. Great- Grandchildren: Kara Kocijan, Samantha Kocijan, Taro Bush and many nephews, nieces and cousins.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 9, 2011, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel, 1131 State Hwy 149, Carthage, Texas 75633, with Dr. Dale Reed officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date in Gary Cemetery.
