Leona Nadine "Mickey" Lamon, 89, of Carthage, passed away on Sunday morning, May 15, 2016, in Carthage. She was born on Jan. 17, 1927, in Independence, Kansas to the late Clarence and Verna Fields Chapman. She has lived in the area since the 1940's and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She loved her church family dearly. She was preceded in death by sons, Mike and Johnny Wayne Harris; brother, T.C. Fields; and step-grandson, Scott Lamon.

Survivors include husband, Bobby Lamon and step-children, Alicia, Stacey, and Barbara.
