Mr. Michael Shannon Todd, age 43, of Marshall, TX, formerly of Carthage, TX, passed away on Wednesday night, June 22, 2011, in Marshall. A service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.

Michael Shannon Todd was born on Dec. 11, 1967, in Shreveport to Terry Lavelle Todd and Doris Jaunell Bailey Rodriguez. Mr. Todd attended Carthage High School and Panola College. He enjoyed gourmet cooking, art and literature, Civil War history, and gardening. Shannon loved the outdoors.

He is survived by his mother, Doris Rodriguez and husband Robert of Carthage; his father, Terry Todd of Mooringsport; his grandmother, Ruth Bailey of Carthage; two brothers, Jeffrey Todd and wife Stephanie of Beckville and Stephen Brando and wife Kayla of Carthage; one sister, Kelly Luman of Beckville; two step-sisters, Lisa Fox and husband Mike of Marshall and Brenda Bishop and husband Billy of Hallsville; uncle, Terry Bailey and wife Melissa of Carthage; aunts, Vicki Bailey of Carthage and Linda Todd of Logansport; a special cousin, Teena Register and husband Craig of Logansport; and nieces and nephews, Morgan, Hannah, Jeffrey Jr., Skylar, MacKenna, Samuel, Kullen, Kristy, Kevin, Barbie, K'Lee, Jess, Krystal, Josh, Monica, and Nick.
