Michael Dean Ross, 55, of Longview, TX passed away Friday morning September 23, 2022, in Longview. Michael was born September 29, 1966 in Marshall, TX to George Robert and Mavis Stewart Ross. He was of the Church of Christ faith and loved fishing and spending time with his family. Michael is preceded in death by a brother, George Robert Ross, II; grandparents, J.W. and Lonie Stewart, and Anna Ross; aunts, Bradie Ann Ross and Retha Ormand and husband James; uncles, Bennie George Liverman and wife Margaret, Darnell Stewart, and Thomas Stewart and wife Wanda and Dale Hill; and several cousins.

Mr. Ross is survived by his father, George Robert Ross and wife Marie; mother, Mavis Powell and husband O.C.; brother, Richard Earl Ross; nephew, R.J. Ross; niece, Kristina Ross; half-sister, Terri Ross; step-brother, Larry Don Powell and wife Nan and their children, Chris Powell and wife Sandra and Missy and husband Mark Akerson; step-sister, Carolyn Sue and husband Tim Harrigan and their children, Katie and husband Jonathan Manchaca, and Timothy Harrigan and wife Lauren; step-sister, Debra Jean Hunter and her children, Nicole and husband Josh Koenigsfeld, Richard Harvey Morton, Patrick Hunter and wife Anna, Jeffrey Benineck and wife Christina, Matt Hunter, and Michael Hunter and wife Corayma; numerous great step-nieces and nephews;  aunts, Mary Hill, Patsy Stewart and Ilene Stewart; and uncle, Ray Stewart & wife Nancy. Numerous cousins and other relatives also survive Michael.

A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at the City Cemetery in Carthage. Services under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home, 1131 State Hwy 149, Carthage, Texas 75633.
