Michael Morgan, 75, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Friday morning, June 23, 2023, in Allen, TX. Michael Morgan was born on July 19, 1947, in Hearne, TX to the late Bobby Joe and Helen Jean Simmonds Morgan. He graduated from Hull Daisetta High School in Daisetta, TX with the class of 1965, after which he attended Houston Baptist University. From there he joined the IBEW and became a journeyman wireman allowing him to travel the world while working before retiring after 40 plus years. He married Jan Alexander on Aug. 3, 1968, in Houston.  Together they created a beautiful family of which they devoted their everything. After Jan's passing, Mike lived to attend the many events in which their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were involved. Michael was preceded in death by his amazing wife of 51 years, his parents, and a great-grandson, Kristopher Kiptyn Sparks-Bush.

Survivors include his devoted and loving children, son, Michael Vernon Morgan Jr. and wife Jenni of Carthage; daughter, Jennifer Zett Couvier and husband, Jason, of Allen; brother, David Morgan and wife Shelly of Buda, TX; brother, Brian Morgan and wife, Anna of Kingwood, TX; brother, Joe and wife, Sandra of Pearland, TX; sister, Kathy Morgan and Janna Kunefke of Winnie, TX; brother-in-law, Roger C. Alexander and wife, Della of Robert E. Lee, TX; grandchildren, Halie Bush (Johnathan), Anthony Morgan (Memori), Jace Morgan Zett (Shannon), Jordyn Morgan Taylor (Cameron), McKenna Zett, Austin  Morgan (Mattie) and Jordan and Cayden Couvier; and great-grandchildren, Rhealyn Bush, Klutch and Sunni Morgan and Kylon and Knox Taylor. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.  All of these, he loved and touched deeply.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with David Gradberg officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30-3:00 on Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.
