Michael Austin Morgan, 74, of Forney, TX, passed away on Wednesday morning, Feb. 20, 2019, in Dallas. He was born on Oct. 13, 1944, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi to the late Roy Austin and Mabel Ann Lesikar Morgan. Mike graduated from Carthage High School with the class of 1962, and attended Panola College. He worked as a radio announcer at KGAS for a time and in construction for many years. Mike enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his children, Greg Morgan and wife Jennifer of Forney, Kerrie Coleman and husband Bob of Spring and Kristie Higgins of Rockwall; brother, Tony Morgan and wife Laura of Carthage; 10 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren with one on the way.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019, at Odd Fellows Cemetery with Dr. Dale Reed officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
