Funeral services for Miss Mercedes Roberts, age 4 of Carthage, Texas will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Robert and Mae Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at Walker Cemetery. A wake will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home. She died May 31, 2007 in Dallas, Texas as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Miss Mercedes Roberts was born March 15, 2003 in Carthage, Texas to Christopher Douglas and Mercedes Aceves Roberts. She worshiped with her family at the House of Faith Ministries. She loved Dora the Explorer.

She is survived by her parents, Christopher Douglas and Mercedes Aceves Roberts of Carthage; grandparents, Frances Alexander of Carthage, Carlos and Marie Aceves of Fresno, California; great-grandparents, George and Frances Lewis of Carthage; three brothers Xavier Allen of Carthage, Kahlil Roberts of Carthage, Chris Roberts, Jr. of Fresno, California; three sisters, Tayah Phillips of Carthage, Jaykra Roberts of Carthage, and Khristia Roberts of Riverside, California. Numerous uncles, aunts and cousins also survive Mercedes.
