Maxwell "Max" Rhodes, 5 years, of Beckville, Texas, passed away Monday evening, May 27, 2024, in Dallas, Texas. He was born on September 24, 2018, in Dallas to Caroline Rebecca Develin. Max loved activities that allowed him to play in water, especially water balloons, swimming, the Slip and Slide, and going to the beach. He enjoyed racing his Jeep at his Papa's, picking berries with his Sassy, eating Juju's grilled cheese sandwiches, driving and honking Yaya's car in her neighborhood, and he loved laughing with his Pop Pop and watching movies and snuggling with his mother. Max was preceded in death by his grandmother, Kristi Malone Rieke.

He is survived by his mother, Caroline; grandparents, Wesley and Julie Develin, Randy and Teri Moye, and Royce Rieke; great-grandparents, Bobby and Becky Malone, Bobby and Debbie Perkins, and Roger and Gaile Toon; brother, Alex Martelly; uncle, Cade Develin; aunt, Ivy Wallace and husband Dually; uncle, Rain Rieke and wife Rachael; uncle, Rowdy Rieke; aunts, Nikki McNiece, Ariana Anthony and husband Austin, Katie Westerman, and Rebecca Westerman; and uncle, Noah Whitworth.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at the Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Meg Lacy officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-6 p.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday, prior to the memorial service.

Honorary pallbearers are Cade Develin, Averie Anthony, Axel Anthony, Alex Martelly, Lane LaBorde, Bentley Malone, Katie Westerman, Rebecca Westerman, Stormy LaBorde, Alana Matteson, and Brian Malone.
